Thanks for your feedback!

A harbour boat for personal used in 1941 as a patrol boat: P-101, 102 and 103 were part of the small Peruvian flotilla in operations in the mangrove coast of the border with Ecuador. Lightly armed with a 20 mm Madsen automatic cannon, and a 7.65 mm MG (probably a Hotchkiss) they were useful in their role.

Good afternoon, guys.

A pair of riverine Peruvian vessels during the short lived Peruvian-Ecuatorian War of 1941.
Amazonas was a ship of the Loreto class gunboat. Made at Groton in 1933, it was a well armed vessel for her size, with 4 x 3 inch/50 guns and 2 x 20 mm Madsen guns. Amazonas´ artillery was pivotal in the battle of Rocafuerte.

Napo was a little riverine steam transport, armed in the emergency with 3 old 47 mm Nordenfeldt guns and a pair of MG (Belgian Mauser rounds: 7.65 x 53 mm). After the war she returned to the transport role and in the late 1960s, converted into a medical/dispensary boat.

Credits: Darth Panda was the original artist of the Amazonas, I just went back to 1941 from his modern version. Thanks a lot.

Cheers.

Very nice additions, good to see some lesser known vessels getting the SB treatment.

BAP Napo late in her life, as a riverine hospital vessel (for civilian support in the Amazon basin), in the late 1970s.

Nice, but I note that there is no overhand shading on either of the Napo drawings.

Hi, Hood. Have a good Good Friday. Yes, I am reworking the Napo as gunboat. An in the vessel as dispensary ship, I had a doubt in style: I made the drawing with glass windows, but in a strict sense, I remember the boat in 1978 with no glass at all in the windows (and also in the doors), just a wooden frame supporting an anti-mosquito metal net (and even with pedestal electric fans, the rooms were hot). The problem is that I have no idea how to translate that to the drawing (putting a dot frame over the blue of the glass gives a wrong idea of the net over the glass window, and putting the same dot frame over a black or dark gray color had an odd look  , and the final work was with "conventional" windows and doors, which is non exact, but at least gives a fair idea of where is a window and where is a door . I will give a deep shadow (because the shadows are very intense in the Amazon basin). Thanks and cheers.

Yes I see the conundrum that you have, nets that fine in SB would probably come up a pale grey, but I'm not sure how I would depict that kind of mesh effectively.
