While looking for Hatsuharu references i also stumbled upon pictures and drawings of other destroyers, so here is IJN Hanazuki as of 1945:

she was the only one of the planned 21 Michitsuki sub-class ships to be completed, and ened up her career in the IJN without seeing combat, the closest call was when she escorted Yamato (bound for operation ten-go) from Tokuyama to Bungo Strait.
after the war she was transferred to the US Navy as DD-934 and finally sunk as target off Gotō Islands on 3 February 1948.

There was nothing wrong with them (except maye just one or two minor details). Yet, when you particulary like a drawing you want it to look the best. All the work consisted just in replacing older parts with newer ones.
