Holy cow! No wonder they sailed as lousy as they did.

Nice Drawing Darth! The true transition era when the builders started turning the ships they built from wood to the same level as its crew that manned it- "Iron"! :D :D :D

Very gorgeous! HMS Alexandra, the 'Eternal Flagship' as she was sometimes referred to, being continuously employed as a flagship during her long career (last one as flagship B-Flett at maneouvers in the Channel in 1900, of Portland!) Now, will you also depict her with reefed sails and stricken topmast as in her most conspicious events, that of the forcing of the Dardanelles in 1878 as Adm. Hornsby's flagship or at the bombardement of Alexandria in 1882, where she wore the flag of VAdm Sir Edward Beuchamps-Seymour (though he shifted flag to the Audacious at the eve of the shelling!)? That be REALLY cool! Also, why not make the venerable Old Lady as of 1900? A very fitting end to a most successful vessel, inspired by the Austrian naval architect Josef von Romako's ideas about maximum end-fire concentration. Btw, do you have Dr Oscar Parkes' "British Battleships"? That book gives a very detailed insight of Alexandra and the rest of the armored battleship-era ships.

In the dark color scheme, I believe the lower railing should be much darker.

Dear Sir, I would feel quitte honored! But allow me some time to do it properly, since I would hate to inadvertently spoil such a gem as "Alix" Oh, and yes, those refahioned railings does look much smarter! Again Darthpanda - Kudos to you for your accomplishment!
