I have a ton of Wright and Logan photos of British 6" cruiser post war if anyone wants copies of a particular ship just let me know

I have always thought that the Post War Towns are rather good looking, but then again anything gray from the twenty century tickles my fancy !!!

Bill all my photos are on that CD that I gave to your brother last year

Looking forward to seeing Swiftsure and Superb

Graham

Thanks Graham. I've realised that the Newcastle I've posted was one I was doing for the OGFL topic; and sure, I've looked again at the photo on the cd, and there are a lot more diferences. No problem, I'm beginning to make the changes, and thanks as always for your input :)

Here is the reworked HMS Newcastle, and I've changed quite a lot to conform with the available sources (thanks again Graham :) ). For now I'll leave this as a representative of the post war modernisation of this fine class (Town) of cruisers unless Hood wants to carry on?

I was going to do the Minotaurs next, but as they were the development of the Colony class, I though I might as well start there, so next up will be one of those (maybe the Berrmuda); then the three Minotaur's, then the Neptune project (or how they come off the stocks ;) )

Bill, great work, those twin Bofors you drew look great.
I can't wait to see the Colony, Minotaur and Neptune classes. It's a big project (I had similar dreams long ago) but I'm sure you will do them all justice.

I might do some more Southamptons later, but probably not for some time until the Weird Sisters and Renown get off the slips.

Thanks for the encouragement gents :)

I was well away with the 'Colony' class, using the hull from the Tiger, then I stumbled across Shipdudes earlier version that didn't match, then I found that both Shipdudes and the Tiger were not to scale :( I hate to be the one to give the bad news but Bombhead mate you may need to check yourself on the Tiger; according to the various sources it should come out at around 170m, and (as far as I know) the Tiger was a rebuilt Minotaur, and they were revamped Colonies, sharing the same hull dimensions. I'm now redrawing the hull from scratch.
