Nitpicking is important. I've updated these drawings several times to change one pixel in certain places...

I'd ideally like these drawings to be the most accurate representation of the class available anywhere. After more than 6 years of studying this class of ships, I think I can say that they're pretty close to being as accurate as I can make them with the resources I have at hand. I've started ordering microfilm reels from the National Archives and want to spend some time looking through them to see if I can find anything else. There are still some areas that are "hazy" for me, but no existing (uncovered) reference can help with...

My dream is to make a 3D model of the ship at some point, but I've never used any 3D modelling software and know it's even more time consuming than Shipbucket drawings...

Got bored and created a "1944" version of CB-3... probably not very realistic, but wanted to try my hand at adapting the Measure 32/7A scheme to the CB-1 class... this was an Iowa class scheme that was never used in real life.

I made a few adjustments for a 1944 fit, but this ship is still extremely "modern" for 1944... let's call it a December 1944 fit. Full SPR-4 RCM suite with sword and derby antennas on the yards, TDY-1 jammer, and TDYa S-band jammer radomes. SK-2 radar with two SGs. I reduced the number of whips for a better appearance. Otherwise it's very similar to the other two CBs.

Looks lovely, Colo ... are you serious about the 3d bit? Because that would be amazing - Lebroba's 3d work was pretty good, maybe they've got some pointers for you?

Wasn't there a plan to drop the midships catapults for another pair of 5" turrets and put one catapult on the fantail?

They'd have to either remove or relocate that 40mm mount on the stern...
