NRP Afonso de Albuquerque was a so called "colonial aviso 1st class" - a landing troop support ship with long range.
After the WW2 it was re-classified as a frigate F470.
In 1961 it was destroyed by Indian ships during the Goa invasion.

Great drawing Whyme. Yes I have allot of respect for the men that served on her on that eventful battle esspecially though out dated and out gun she still managed to give a good fight against the 2 newer and more modern Indian Navy Leopard frigates INS Betwa and INS Beas firing nearly 400 rounds and inflicting damage to both vessels before running its self aground during the battle at Mormugao harbour

An old colonial gunboat, served in Mozambique from 1899 to 1919. Armed with two Hotchkiss 3-pounders.

I don't really like how it came out but I really wanted to draw something old and small

This is my personal favorite: cruiser Adamastor, launched in 1897. She was one of the rebellion cruisers during republican revolution of 1910.

I love they detailing on the NRP António Enes specialy its crane for the rhib! great job! Wondering if they couldnt update these ships and use them a few more years and then selling them to a smaller navy.

Searching some info about the portuguese navy i found this blog:

The thread title might be a little too promising because I've drawn only one ship so far and planning on one or two more. Besides all the major warships (two frigate classes and submarines) are already in ShipBucket so, given that Portugues Navy rather small size, there's no much choice left.
Nonsense, even the Portuguese navy must have a shitload of smaller vessels.

I know this blog - that's where I got some info on the Viana do Castelo. Yet I don't speak/read Portuguese so Google translate is the way to go ;)
