When she was built in 1875, HMS Iris was classified as a despatch vessel because of her high turn of speed for the day. I have drawn her as refitted in 1888 when she was rated as a second-class cruiser. Despite the loss of her jib-boom, I think she retains her sleek good looks.

Looks great!
My only doubts are about the railings and the way propeller shaft(s) enter the hull.
Anyway, keep up the good work!

Another great work. I think you've certainly mastered the style.

My only other nitpick is that you have some grey outlining rather than black on the forward and aft guns. The barrels should always be outlined in black if they are greater than 2 pixels thick.

Great job Jellicoe. You have really made the grade, Shipbucket style wise, apart from some small remarks mentioned above, this drawing is very nice.
