Well, I've updated DISCOVERER's first drawing now, so much for blindly believing NavSource.

Anyways, here's the last of the saga of the Bird Boats, first it's DISCOVERER as seen in 1935 around the Aleutian Islands.

Next is USC&GS GUIDE, ex FLAMINGO (AM-32) ex Minesweeper No. 32. Also serving a long and fruitful life, she would end her career as salvage ship USS VIKING (ARS-1) and be scrapped in 1953.

This drawing depicts her during the period between her entry into service of the Coast and Geodetic Survey in 1923 and somewhere in the late 30's:
