A fine drawing. The only real criticism I can offer up is that the rudder shading feels a bit heavy.
No problem, I'll include that in the final version.

A great drawing of a great ship :) like rifleman I've been waiting for this ship to make an appearance.

As usual, Bill's drawing is beyond praise.

I thought warships have round badges and the other shapes to support vessels and so? Anyone having a simple explanation? :?:
According to wiki prior to 1940 it was like this:
Wikipedia wrote:
circles for battleships, pentagons for cruisers, 'U'-shaped shields for destroyers, and diamonds for auxiliary units, including depot ships, small war vessels, and aircraft carriers.
Thus the badge is correct shape. Round badge would be OK as well though :)

Magnificent work Bill. I'm hoping to see the 1943 version as well as the 1959 version (the ship as she is now at the Pool of London)

Thanks for the info on ships badges. Re the various representations: 1939,1943,1952? (Korea), finally the rebuild as she appears now. I'm not that interested in showing the current camouflage, as (as far as I know) this was never applied in service on the rebuild, but is more for the tourists.

Thanks for doing that drawing, I still think that the Manchester/Liverpool/Gloucester (3rd sub group of the Towns) are the "best Looking" britisher cruisers but Belfast has look and feel of of its own which you have captured to a T

PS when are we going to see the Neptune?

The current camouflage is the ship as she was in 1943, and was applied for the tourists, since after the war she was grey overall.

She only got that colour scheme about 7-8 years ago, before that she was battleship grey all over.

Yes, I thought that was the case: nice for the tourists but not historically accurate; which makes me wonder as its part of the Imperial War Museum.

Great drawing! I've seen her in real-life last summer with my school trip! :D
