Nice. @HeuHen It was the same in Poland (and partially still is) and East Germany (and, I suppose, in all other ComEcon countries) - simply the shipbuilding industry was all state-owned and centrally administered, and also design bureau and shipyard could be (and most often were) entirely separate entities, so using "project numbers" had quite practical administrative sense. |
