Hi,

some never-built Schnellboot projects based on the S 100-class.

Planned variants of the S 100-type:

S 219-class:
The only difference from the s100 class was that these boats were to be equipped with six 30mm MK303 cannons. However, since these guns were not available, this did not materialize.

S 301-class:
These boats were to be engined by three Daimler Benz MB 518 engines of 3000 HP each. This project failed because of a lack of engine availability.
Armament would have been identical to the above S 219.

S 701-class:
A design with a set of rear firing topredo-tubes and multiple 30mm cannons.
The aft tubes were to be loaded with sound-homing "Zaunkönig" torpedoes to ward off pursuers.

Planned powerplant were three DB 518 engines. Top speed was to be 42 kts.

Only S 701 to S709 were built - altough to S 100 standard.

Panzerboot-class
A Lürssen design based on the Daimler-Benz MB 518 engined S 170.
Because of the ever increasing aerial threat and dwindling precious wood stocks, it was to incorporate more use of armored steel.

Due to the poor availability of the engines and an increased use of native wood in S-boat construction, this project was not pursued any further.

cheers!

These smaller drawings take a deft hand. Nice work.
