Well ace and I had the same thoughts with it possibly carrying a helicopter, of course the first time I drew this I had never seen his forum thread on the vessel. I could include that on the what-if version of the AAS.

Dark paint like this would stand out like a sore thumb both visually and on IR (since dark paint would heat up in the sunlight). Haze gray is more appropriate.

I think someone at Lockheed wanted to squeeze out as much of the Sea Shadow into an actual warship. Or maybe they were out at the bar one night with one too many drinks.
