Thread looks quite interesting. :)
But I generally agree that Acelanceloet's reservations about the CV. Perhaps try to look on something of roughly similar size (like Colossus class or USS Wasp) for inspiration about hangar height and the bridge.

Back from vacation now, with at least two new designs I'm working on(just SS:ed so far), alongside the CVL. Before I post any more updates, however, I would like some critics on the planes as well, if they would work, seem plausible, fulfil SB-standard, and so on?

The engine cowlings seem to imply an earlier engine (The Polikarpov I-16 comes to mind), so I wouldn't count on very high performance. Also, you might want to enlarge the canopies on the Dive and Torpedo bombers because it looks like they can only hold one or two crewmen, when the standard for torpedo bombers at the time was two or three, and dive bombers had around the same number (but generally stuck to around 2). And the canopy on the torpedo bomber might be a little far back, which blocks the pilot's view forward and creates a pretty difficult aircraft to land on a carrier.

The CVL has been updated. I would have wanted to add some more details to some parts, but can't think any up. Everything is open for critisism.
And, I will share with you some of my newest units. One is a Worcester-style AA cruiser, and the other one is the return of my first destroyer on the 'bucket. :)
First, naturally, as the rule of big decrees, the CLHA:

The Walkyria class cruiser was the result of several years of work on a "perfect" carrier escort leader. It was based around the gun ordered by the Dutch in 1939, and that evolved into the 152mm/53 M/42*. Three ships were laid down in 1942 and 43, with two entering service in 1945. The last unit, laid down in the great dockyards of Nymark, was bought by the latter as she gained independancy in 1947*.
As commissioned, they shared an interesting likeness with the Japanese
Mogami class, with five twin turrets, C superfiring A and B, and X superfire Y. While about 20% smaller than the American Worcester, the Walkyrias was widely considered the most balanced of the two, with over all same broadside AA ROF and a speed of little over 34 knots, along with a satisfying protection.
Just like the
Worcester, however, they were also obsolete at commission. Fylgja was mothballed in 1958, later sold to Argentina, and Walkyria was converted to a semi missile cruiser in the late 60's, only to be quickly decommissioned in 72.

The Djärhv class destroyer was actually somewhat of a random stroke of luck. Four of these were built in secret during the twenties, to explore the potential of larger destroyers. They went through several design stages, and emerged with a somewhat "uncomplete" appearance when commissioned.
However, on the same time, the Japanese
Fubuki class got into service, turning all earlier destroyer deffinations top side down. As Gotrige already had two somewhat comparable destroyers, and two more underway, the class was increased with twelve ships, ending at sixteen. As they had been somewhat rushed, they suffered from several design flaws, their bad seakeeping and stability being main examples. The following classes would remedy this to a greater or lesser degree, but the formula for the modern destroyer had still been found by Gotrige, second only to Japan. This advantage would diminish during the 30's, however.
While the class had it's flaws, it was robust and served untill the years just after WW2, when they were phased out, either sold or scrapped.

Some notes on the ships:
The Walkyria was obviously inspired by the Worcester class, but I felt five twins was enough. She also has a small bulb, based on the Tre Kronor one.
Well, the Djärhv class was allready designed and drawn. The process here was delete the superstructure and redraw it, along with some "modernation of the hull.

Hope you like them! :D

I have some designs I work on, and will post soon hopefully, among others a corvette/sloop and a super destroyer á eight 13cm. :)

*Yes, the Nymark post-war/commonwealth might evolve to the third country in this AU(Gotrige/Erikrike etc.), but it will not feature half the background work, and all designs will be more or less Gotrigian.

I like the low, lean profile of the Walkyria.

Thanks to you! :D I'm glad the CVL mod has been so well recieved. I was a bit worried about it, actually. :)

Also, note that all ship with armor belts has been updated with a new colour for the belt, to reflect the fact that all Gotrige ships have ice-reinforced hulls.

Some very nice cruiser designs indeed. That CVL kinda reminds me of Sierans Lazarev class. The destroyers too are also interesting in that they reflect the changing nature of warship design quite well.

As for aircraft, if Gotrige and Sieran do form an alliance, you might be interested in Sierans TB-31 series of dive bomber/torpedo aircraft. They are underpowered for their weight due to Sierans ongoing lack of suitable engines but they would be available. Sieran currently operates three naval squadrons of these bombers, of which are rotationally based on the Lazarev (she only has a capacity of about 12 partially disassembled aircraft in her small hangar as she is used for training solely and Sieran does not use deck parks due to the weather).
