In the 1958 the U.S. gave the Repùblica Filipina 10 patro boat for free:

....these vessels for many years has been the fleet of coastal patrol until the end of the Vietnam War, when the weight of Repùblica Filipina radically changes in U.S. foreign policy, contributing to the modernization and expansion of the fleet...

And, to follow the fleet size of the Repùblica Filipina Navy in the years 1960-2020:

1958 - 1984: PP 01 Luzon (ex USS PC-472) - scrapped
1958 - 1984: PP 02 Visayas (ex USS PC-473) - scrapped
1958 - 1984: PP 03 Mindanao (ex USS PC-475) - scrapped
1959 - 1984: PP 04 Korakami (ex USS PC-478) - scrapped
1959 - 1983: PP 05 Davao (ex USS PC-479) - scrapped
1959 - 1983: PP 06 Ilocos (ex USS PC-481) - scrapped

these units were bought in 1958-59 for patrolling the archipelagos farther and were used until the '80s, when they were replaced by a new class of patrol boats.
Until the early '70, the navy of the Repùblica Filipina was to limit potential and focus on patrolling the waters around the nation.

1971-2007: FS 03 Diwa - Scrapped

In the late '60s, with a considerable economic effort, the Repùblica Filipina Navy supplied the first new units.
Derived from the Italian corvettes De Cristofaro class, they represent a more modern version with a more powerful engine.
At the end of the '90s this units have been modernized, moving from primarily ASW in multi-role unit.
