Actually I think he has a point, on the bottom of the vessel there is railing with walkways that seem to face the ground below.

When the ship is sailing, and go on land in a way with legs, small circulair floating batteries will be mountained at the underside/belly of the ship to cover that part with gunfire. They can be removed but they are mountained upside down, I'll post the battery it self tomorrow.

A walking Confederate battleship with gun barrel diameters that scale out to several meters doesn't exactly lend itself to the usual Shipbucket nitpicking :P
