After posting a few drawings over in the Beginner's Section, I've finally started putting together a rough scenario for my first AU nation, Centennia.

The United States of the Pacific is another WIP AU that ties in with this one.

And finally, sorry about the font. I'm still trying to figure out a way to not have pixelated letters without going through copying/pasting pre-made ones. First ships to come soon.

One question: How can Columbus have claimed a land for a nation which, at the time, didn't exist, but was a subject of the Holy Roman Emperor (later Spain)? Also, why would he have done that, being in the Spanish King's (and Queen's) service? That'd amount virtually to treason... Also, the term 'British' did not really come into existence till after the Personal Union of 1603. In fact, until 1707 and the Parliamentary Union between England and Scotland, those two kingdom's regarded each other with intense suspicion, and certainly the Scots would've taken exception to the usage of that term...

Otherwise I do like your (US-inspired!) CL., though some more detailing, such as railings, rigging etc...would be welcome...

It's a bit bare isn't it.
Anyway, a couple of points.

[*]The A gun is awfully close to the superstructure. Right now you have about a metre between them, that's not a whole lot of space when you have to dance around with a 5.5in shell.
[*]I'm not certain your beam armament is going to work. Each gun takes up four metres of that plus another 1-1½m for recoil and working space. With a 12.5m beam that leaves you with one metre left for superstructure, four if you accept limited firing arches.
[*]AA or rather the lack of it. In the 1920ies you'd expect to see at least a token AA defence. Something like the 12-pdr 20cwt QF HA or the [UR=http://navweaps.com/Weapons/WNBR_2pounder_m2.htm]2-pdr QF Mark II [/URL]. 8mm MGs of some sort is also an option.

Interesting. Atlantia now appears to have a friend in the mid Atlantic =D I do still rather like your submarine design.
