My exams are coming up again, so I'll be continuing this AU in a few weeks or so.

A little suprise, I have started a huge expansion of the Fokker aircraft manufacturer, in which the company still existed today and dominated the regional airline market. Also, a major military branch was founed in the 1950s with its own transport, fighter and trainer aircraft. But for now, the Fokker Civil department:

And a little surprise from the military branch...

there are an rekkof 100 and an rekkof 100 Maritime patrol variant somewhere on the forum, if you might want to use it.....
looking nice btw, although the bomber hull looks quite high. are we going to see carrier fokkers too? and historical fokkers? I would love to see G1 and D21 descendants growing into these jets.

I know, that's where the F120 is based off, but the real Fokker 100 was never developed in my scenario. And absolutely, I have an entire list of fighters ready to be posted, also carrier based fighters, trainers and ASW platforms. The bomber is still a WIP, so thanks for the advice ;)

ah, now I see. don't forget the thrust reversers on the engines, you modified them into panel lines of the engine here, it will shorten the landing runway quite a bit :P
and I can't wait to see the rest then!

Very nice work. Just one question about Fokker's history - why did it produce in the 1950s F-84's and F-86's instead of Hunters, used by KLu in real-life? (I'm asking because I just like Hunter more ;) ).

Ahh great question. Now before I tell anything more, this part was only about the civil branch of Fokker, the military part will be the next one. But to answer your question, between the 1950s and 1960s the Air Force operated a number of aircrafts, these were all produced under license by Fokker:
- Gloster Meteor F.4 & F.8 (about 440 units produced between 1947-1851)
- Republic F-84 F & G (465 F & 402 G units produced between 1951-1957)
- North American F-86D (86 units produced between 1954-1956)
- Hawker Hunter F.6 (346 units produced between 1956-1960)

After this Fokker started to design and built its own fighter aircraft

Thanks for answering. I didn't wanted to make You reveal prematurely anything, but You've already mentioned that particular issue. :)
