Ok probably the last and definitive version of the LCC, an ex-LPD converted in Command ship for huge assault forces or as SOF support ship.
The well dock have been reduced for support the Army SOF boats and the other half now is a small hangar for a pair of EH-101.
So traveling with a MEU can transport an LCAC or other service crafts (or the above SOF boats), no vehicle can be transported by the ship due the garages are now C3 stations.

I think at this point it should be clear that cost is not a factor when deciding on ships for this nation. ;)

Yes it is... ;)

The ship are home made, so the price is very good, considering the not so high number of them... The cost of programs like the FREMM are splitted in 3 nations (Italy, France and Caribia) that is reducing the amount of money and speeding up the development time.

:D

Added the Helo Hangar on the OPV, and fixed the PB ASW (was missing the torpedo)...

I just don't think you get it though - you can't just say "it's home made, therefore it's cheap". You have to pay for licensing, startup costs, etc. It's massively expensive.

The simplest answer of all is "building an ocean-going ship period is not cheap."
