The Kanaris Class Destroyers were Fram I Gearing Class which RHN bought from USA in 1966-1967 (in my scenario). Here as modernised in 1977-1982. Note that D-215 Tompazis was the flagshiship of RHN for 30 years (1967-1997),replaced by D-219 Nearhos.

Kanaris (ex-Gearing) DD's - Depth charges - why not twin or triple Mk 32 325mm TT, or similar European equivalent?

RHN believed that in shallow waters (up to 30m) depth charges were still a threat for enemy submarines and even they could sunk a midget submarine. These depth charges were improved through the program "Poseidon" in late 1960's.Both ships do have triple Mk 32 325mm TTs if you notice more carefully. Also there is ASROC and the QH-50/ZH-50.

Coastal Defense Command (Aegean Sea)-Fictional

Created in 1950 and upgrated to Naval Command in 1977,this fleet is active only to 1/3 of its power in peace time and only in wartime the full strength of Coastal Command will activated.Today,it has more than 250 crafts which are from 9m (USV Defender) to 58m (FH-58).In all islands with high coastal cliffs many tunnels have been built and there is even one which can support 4 P6M Seamasters! Of course locations are classified officially.

Fleet

*SES FH-58: Essentially a CMN design of the 1990's,of which 4 built with license from Neorion Shipyard (1996-2001),is the first Surface Effect Ship built in the Kingdom (Also a Fast 230-passenger craft built on FH-58 hull,4 total). The FH-58 is very fast (top speed 60 knots) and well armed against surface ships and also boasts a CIWS/SAM Aris VI-A.
*PGM Ashevile-HL (Euniki) Class: A modified PG Asheville with stabilisers from Blohm & Voss (originally developed for large yachts,e.g Feadship family) and 4 Penguin Mk2 missiles(when built had 4 MkIs) and an Albatros SAM with 4 missiles.Built under license in Hellenic Shipyards of Elefsis in 1969-1973.
*FAC HSY-46M:The FAC version of the PC HSY-46,built in early 1990's.Although it has light guns (1 twin Artemis 30mm and a Soukos Medousa Mk2/30mm) it is very fast with top speed >50kn and armed with 6 SSM Gabriel III.
*Type 140M Torpedoboats (Esperos) class: 8 remaining from about 16 aquired from Germany in 1970's and early 1980's,rebuilted with new engines and armament (torpedoes OMI-101,OMI-41,Mk8,Mk15).The rebuilt Type 140M has top speed ~45kn with 14400hp.
*Rodriguez Tipo HS (Kalimnos) Class: These hydrofoils built to a Italian design (Maffius 600) in 1970's.Some built for Hellenic Coast Guard and transferred to Marine Finacial Police in 2001.Coastal Command version can accomodate 6 seals with 1 RIB (originally Zodiac 5.8m,now RIB Baraccuda 6m).
*Motomarine Protector Class:New,indigenous design of fast patrol boat, will replace all older ones (Andromeda Class,Stamou Class) in the near future.First 10 built for Hellenic Coast Guard and used on SAR,followed by another 14 for RHN/CDC.
*Esterel 32m: These wooden patrol boats are the workhorses of the Command since 1975.Built by a Cypriot shipyard specialized in wooden crafts, total 20 built (2 first in France).Cyprus has 14 in service with Marine Police and Navy Command of National Guard),Hellenic Coastal Command has 6 (includes the 2 French-built boats).
*MTB Tjeld/Andromeda Class: These Norwegian built crafts delivered in RHN in 1966-1967 and now they are the last of the Tjeld/Nasty Class. In late 1980's rebuilt with new engines from TAG and in 1998 received one Soukos Medousa turret with one 30mm Artemis and 4 SSM-15 antiship missiles.
*Motomarine Puma 145 & Tiger 165:Again,paramilitary forces (Hellenic Border Guard,Hellenic Coastguard and Cyprus Marine police) first order these crafts, followed by RHN/CDC.Another client was the Hellenic Financial Police, which ordered 20 (12/145 & 8/165) in 2007 and delivered 2008-2010.
*SOC CB90: Total 50 of these Swedish designed crafts are in service with Hellenic Armed Forces (24/HCG,26 RHN Seals).First 12 transfered free from Sweden in 2001 due to the AWACS Erieye Project and 38 built with license by the Hellenic Defence Systems Shipyard.
*UFASC (Ultra Fast Strike Craft):Based on a catamaran leisure boat of the shipyard Compass (Compass 1080SF,designed for sportfishing and racing based on a US idea) the HDSS version is stronger built and powered by outdrives instead of
outboards. These belong to Hellenic Army Special Forces.

One AU CoA for Hellenic Coastguard. This CoA first created in 1929 from Vasileios Ioannidis,a captain of Coastguard for the first OPV (a modified copy of the Nea Genea Destroyer) and passed to succesor ships.Today this CoA is used in the OPV Sigma 9213 Phoebus (Apollon) Class and used also from older Zeus Class/Apollon (1960-1997).According to the Hellenic Mythology, god Apollon, when very young killed with his bow a enormous snake called Python in Delphi and founded after the famous Oracle of Delphi.

Now something from long ago:Some pre WW2 ships, all fictional. Please comment!
If wondering,I had asked Navarhos about if I can modify the Elli. The Makedonia/Saronikos/Aegina came from Norwegian Sleipner, since this seemed similar with the Italian destroyers class I mentioned on the template.

I basically like all the ships sofar posted (the pre-WW2 ones, that is!) One question though: on the sea plane carrier, how do you propse to operate the planes in and out of the hangar? Your choice of the placement of the crane seems a bit awkward, but it may be just an illusion...

As for the DDs they all can fit in with my own scenario in my separate thread! 8-) ;)
