Do you know the meaning of the world "Antara" in Greek?

1. the darkening of the atmosphere by clouds of fog that portends a terrible storm and by extension terrible bad weather or strong wind.

2. the obscuration from the smoke, noise and clamor of the battlefield.

BTW, I love the Ackerman-class destroyer.
I didn't, that's interesting.

And thx!

Armoured river gunboats of the World War

[ img ]

The first armoured PGRs were built for the rivers that were connected to Antara's shallow Dendara Sea, where it may once again fight the Pan-Antaran nations. These were lightly armed with a few requisitioned army 12.7mm machine guns and some navy 50mm cannons. Additionally they were armoured enough to defeat anti-tank rifles and some early 37 and 40mm cannons.

With wartime experience, Antara's PGRs gradually got thicker armor and a wider array of heavier weaponry. They served well under army use in on the homefront, but were also used extensively by the navy in the Atia Straight in 1346, and the Augusta Strait in 1347.
