Ok, so now that I have finished this battlecruiser, I am looking for a WW1 era destroyer to design off of (British or American). If anyone has any ideas, they would be much appreciated. I have considered the Town Class, but I've heard that they were not popular with crews, and had horrible handling characteristics.

Which one? The Caldwell, Wickes or Clemson class?
Anyway, it depends on the ranges involved, but personally I'd go for the British V or W class

Well technically just the Town class in general, but they were all built after 1917 which is a little later than what I am looking for. I did consider using the V and W class but I'm not sure if there are any shipbucket drawings of any of the classes. I can work without one, but it is nice to have an SB drawing to scale off of.

This looks promising The only thing that strikes my eye is the short forecastle, in relation to the overall length.

Personally I'd bring the deck aft of the bridge to encompass the forward funnel maybe having a couple of MGs or cannon in the area gained. I'd widen the bridge to sit flush with the hull as well but I digress.
