Nice.
Although for me, placing the catapult between th funnels somehow disturbs the overall look of the ship.

I'd much rather that than on the fantail, that really causes problems IMHO.

I've always liked the looks of midships catapults, and don't see how it distracts from anything here.

I am wondering why you went with the superstructure of a carrier, but overall, it is a very nice ship!

Yes, I wonder about that too. The Lexington's conn, just doesn't suit a CA. Since you're doing a US inspired CA, take a look at my AU, "The Royal Hellenic Cruiser Force" for ideas, or any US CA of that period. Also, the midships cat makes a lot of sense; however, I'd move it down one deck, I e to 01-level, so that I could use the superstructure block just in front of the aft funnel as a natural hangar.

Mid Ship Catapult is just my personal taste.
SrGopher:
Will be modifying the superstructure.
Bezo:
The structure behind the catapult is meant to be hanger.

I hope my comment did not offend you. The last I want is to tell you how to design your own ship.
Maybe my subjective impression is due to the fact that the ship is not finished yet.
So I'm looking forward how it will come out.

The ship is in fact far from finish, and I would like some help from the Shipbucket community to aid on my design.

Actually, I think it's a very good start. Your funnels look a little bit outdated to me, considering it looks like a late-war to early-post war design. On the same note, considering some of your weaponry and electronics are post-war, I'm not sure the ship would even have catapults and aircraft. Most cruisers had their aircraft and cats removed shortly after the war since they were obsolete. Also, on the catapult placement, I also happen to like the look of midships catapults, but only pre-war US cruisers had them. Experiences early in WWII taught warship designers that midships hangers and aircraft created a massive fire hazard that could and did prove fatal to cruisers in battle.
