ace...no we wouldn't! As for the B3:s I think I'm responsible. Back when I posted, you never said anything about either "awful" shading or, for that matter, it's being wrong. I do have 3-D renderings of the stretched Type 22 hull, so I can check and compare, but it certainly would've been nice had you opened your mouth back then! - I probably, when time permits, will revisit the Type 22s, though...

Shipwright; the stern cut-outs (the helicopter engine test bed area and aft mooring station), are actually on the same level as those of the Type 22s. As far as I know there were no particular issues with them at high speed.

well, to be honest, I never looked into the hull shading thing back then (there are examples out here of me doing it horribly wrong too, although I have corrected most if not all by now)

the stern cutouts are indeed not that low (indeed, other ships have/had it the same) but comparing the size of the ship with the examples which had it that low, (the stern wave sizes up with the size of the ship, not linear but still) it might indeed a bit low.

I'll try to mind my words then. now let's get back to shippy's drawings instead of hull shading discussion and proper sb etiquette :P

New Cromer purchased 4 Ex RN leander class frigates in the 90's as a stop gap measure to cover a dire hull shortage when most of New Cromer's frigate force was tied up on other duties. the 4 ships bought were the RN Sea wolf converted ships and were used as escorts for carriers while the larger more capable frigates were used elsewhere.
in the 2000's the ships were proving a nightmare to keep operational but even with the arrival of the 4 EX RN type 22's in 2013 the additional hulls were still found busy chasing down pirates, people smugglers and etc off the african coast. new ships were needed add the this the removal from service of the Exocet and the Sea Arrow missile on New Cromer's Type 42 as a cost reduction as the navy wanted to have just one ASM Harpoon.
the loss of Exocet and the lack of a gun severely limited there usefulness, however there ability to operate Helicopters and a ships boat meat they were still decent anti pirate and smuggler vessels. but a new ship was needed enter the BAe Corvette design. her main roles will be to replace the 4 Leander on these anti piracy and smuggling but have the additional punch of Harpoon if called on to do other missions. they are to be more capable that the River class OPVs but cheaper and less capable than a Frigate.

a final tweek..... offering rudimental short term maintenance facility's for helicopter operations. Phalanx is shown but initially the ships will be fitted for but not with.

I didn't notice this before, but you are using my version of ARTISAN, and it SUCKs. RP1 did a better version that made it to the UK parts sheets.

You might want to consider a remote weapons station for the 25mm so close to the VLS, unless "toast your own crewmates" is a mission requirement.

yes was thinking that too what are the options, 25mm to 40mm caliber?

25mm is probably good enough, I'm sure there are 40mm remote weapons stations but at least with the Mk 38 Mod 2 it can be "optionally manned" if you have to.

FWIW, CAMM is soft launched. The exhaust plume shouldn't really be an issue considering the height that it ignites at.

That said, a remote or optionally manned mount would probably be a nice thing to have when one considers having to man it in less than ideal weather...
