The gun on the bow of the Alkmaar klasse mine hunter is a French 20F2 Machine Gun or since a few years a browning M2 .50 cal HMG (12,7 mm).
The alkmaars had one 20F2 and that one is replaced by 3 M2's ( 1 front , 2 stern starboard and portside)

Most of the minesweepers got a 20mm but all were removed dealing costs, when we a ''wacht schip'' they will have like mike said various .50 call M3 machines guns

Err. All 20mm oerlikons got replaced by a .50 in the big above water ship netherlands navy.(lcf-lpd-mff)
Ive seen Alkmaar class also with the .50 only.
