if you have an hangar only for an UAV, I would rather have no hangar at all...
btw your penguin launcher is facing the wrong way, and your 2 directors interfere with each other, the prop is not in an good place and .... YOU HAVE NO RUDDER! :D
other then that it looks ok I think, but I might have missed something

so far, you do better then most newbe's I've seen coming in..... so keep it up!

Wet UAVs are distinctly unhappy UAVs and a hangar protects it from small-arms fire. So I'm keeping the hangar. The penguin is supposed to be facing to the rear, I think it's right. A rudder would be a distinctly good idea. Now on your other two problems, do you have any idea how to fix them? I had trouble with propeller placement and I know jack-shit about directors.

the problem with your hangar is: you have an large hangar, and because of that you can only field UAV's. if you make an smaller hangar, with room for 1 instead of 3 UAV's , your helideck might be larger so it can be used by manned heli's. these won't fit in the hangar then, or you should add an telescoping hangar.

for the directors: I don't know much about the American ones, but for ESSM and the gun only the 'egg' should be enough. for penguin I'm not shore....
if you need them both, you have to place them so that they don't interfere with each other. maybe place one of them on top of the hangar, or on top of your intake. for the propulsion: for a ship this size, that needs to do high speeds (that was what you wanted, if I'm not wrong) you might use waterjets.

about the penguin: http://www.shipbucket.com/images.php?di ... 20Hauk.gif this ship is similar in role I think, en you can see the penguin is back mounted but front facing. for an attack ship forward facing is always the best ;)

use the ones from the part sheet... or otherwise the ones from mconrads on his visby. those are the most common used ones... and then you don't have to draw a rudder as well ;)

I think I'll keep my twin props, they're powered by turbines so it'll get a decent speed anyways.

Updated with most suggestions, but keeping the hangar. Multiple UAVs would be more useful then one manned chopper. Also keeping the propulsion for now.

switch both directors around. the 'egg' is mainly the gun director in here, so it needs to be able to aim forward. add some more penguin launchers as well (4 will be enough, I think) and I disagree about the hangar/heli..... but well, it is your ship, you can do what you want.
for the props and rudder: look at other ships of similar size and era how they should be done.... waterjets would be the best IMO, but again, it's your ship :D
