Hi All! My name´s Luciano, i´m from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I started a few models for the new Republic (i still don´t decide a name). They are OPV´s for, at start, make control of territorial sea and patrol mission. Most of the ships was made for me, but i took parts from several files (helicopters heavy, parts sheet, equipment, etc...) from SB.
Worst part: then i modified those radars, weapons, trucks, vehicles, etc.
The question is: when i start to posting my designs here, i must credit each and every single thing i borrow? Because i didn´t even take note.
I work teaching software, i like model trains too, and mithology and literature. I speak english, spanish, arab, guaraní and french, in case someone wants to contact me in private.
Glad to be here, i´m an old and silent fan of SB.

Welcome aboard.

The credit line is a fickle beast. While parts to not have to be credited, the structural elements that do are a subject of much consternation. The usual metric is ~20%.

you only have to credit when you take larger parts of other ships. let's say, parts that you can recognise, such as structures, bows, funnels etc. you don't have to credit for separate parts or small stuff. putting your design on an shipbucket template then counts as enough.

and welcome aboard.
EDIT: sniped by timothy xD and what he says is essentially more correct even then what I say xD

Clicky. Only if you want to, some use that template, others just include it in the post, which is easier to edit.

Thanks for your welcome words. This is my first try of OPV´s to control the sea and resources of the new Republic.

I have problems to upload the photo the way you people do. Maybe you can teach me.

The ship design itself is actually very sound...but you've got a lot of funky stuff going on with your radars.

It seems that you have more than a basic understanding of the principles of a ship - but little honest understanding of electronics. That's not a bad problem though, I'll let some of the more knowledgeable people run through some of the electronic guides. But long story short, you only have 3/4s of all the phased arrays you need (and a ship like this, especially a Coast Guard ship, doesn't justify phased radar in the first place) plus I just have no clue what you're going for with that funky...director thingie on top the bridge.

So true. My first design and you came up with my achilles heel.
I´ll say loud and clear: HELP! I don´t have idea of electronics. Wich kind of radars need a ship like the two ones i´m showing to you. If someone can paste here the parts sheets that i need, i will apreciate it a lot.
I´m going to take a look on others OPV´s, plus.

Yeah, you need to re-think your phased array radars. I'm not sure you even need them on either ship. Phased array radars are mainly used on ships with air-defense missile capabilities, and neither of your vessels have missiles of any kind. And yeah, that radar above the bridge looks like some kind of missile fire-control director, which is unnecessary. If I were you I would go with an electro optic director for my guns since it's an OPV. Other than that you have some really good basic designs for your ships. They just need some improvments in their electronic suites. I'll look for a good electro-optic director somewhere and post a link when I find it.
