also, keep in mind that the RN was kind of conservative as well (look for example at the fact that steam turbines were used on battleships only after jackie fisher took the initiative)
But we're not seeing any evidence that there is any motive to accept a more practical idea, rather a totalitarian whose reputation seems to be the scapegoat for APDAF's lack of changes in his drawings. I know I don't comment on many of them, but I have been following all of his threads, with the same argument about APDAF wanting to keep an impractical element in his drawings, everyone giving reason against it, and he then saying that his ideas are justified by the emperor of britannia or that its completely different in Britannia's universe than in real life.

I simply can't understand how anyone can help APDAF if his AU is actually in another universe, with its maritime developments being all over the place when compared to more traditional AUs or real life.

You know Torpedo Tubes takes quite a lot of space, right? The only destroyer that I recall having TTs mounted on the port & starboard instead of the centerline are the French ones. Your funnel & superstructure still does not make sense.
Not true. The Mahan, Gridley, and Bagley classes all had port and starboard torpedo mountings, either 3 or 4 tube mounts. I think some other USN DD's may have as well.

Having them is one thing but it all depends on the width of the superstructure on the hull as to how much you can actually slew them outboard.

I got bored so I mostly redid the Latin Class.

I changed the guns from 4,7 inch to 6 inch although they might be a bit big.
I gutted the funnels so there are now only two.
Moved a few things got rid of some stuff.

She is more workable now, but I recommend removing the wing mounts.

...and what about those French-style tubular fighting masts? They definitely will not work!

Added River class.

The Latin class will be redrawn shortly.

I wanted to comment that You've really made great progress, but then I thought that this River class looks familiar... looked on credits...
and cried.

Btw. You forgot to paint aft mast, add railings and some moorings equipment etc., there is something fishy about the lifeboat, searchlight is too low (put it on some tripod or whatever)...
:geek:
