Gents, after months of lurking around the forums and observing the works made and events unfolded here, I decided to let it out and release my first work, a product of my imagination: an early/mid-50's era generic subchaser of Soviet/Warsaw Pact origin. Inspired by SC-497, and Projects 122 and 201, it was "completed" a couple of months ago, before tweaking it to be posted here...

This will be part of my yet-to-be-named Russian-themed AU to be posted in the future, which is still far from complete, content and lore-wise (hint: set in a completely alternate, semi-parallel world). For now I've got a "generic" and a Soviet version here:

EDIT - Revised the bow section:

Length: 45 m
Beam: 6 m
Draft: 2.45 m
Displacement: 218 t standard, 232 t full
Propulsion: 3x 2500 hp (1864 kW) diesel engines
Top speed: 25 kts (46 km/h); 12 kts (22 km/h) economical
Range: 1,700 nmi (3,148 km) at 12 kts
Complement: 33, including 3 officers
Armament: 2x2 37 mm/67 V-11 guns, 4x 12.7 mm DShK machine guns, 2x RBU-1200 anti-submarine mortars, 1x depth charge rack, 6x light depth charge projectors
Sensors: Tamir hull-mounted sonar, (fictional) "Top Bulb" surface search radar

A couple of designs issues might be uncovered here, but apart from that, enjoy. :)

Cheers -- wb21

Well, 50 views later, I feel compelled to comment.

Welcome Sir (or Madam) and congratulations on an impressive and believable (i.e. not an insane super-laser space battleshit) AU design! Good work!

what is that streak along the side of your underwater hull?
I have only 2 comments:
1. the underwater hull shading on the bow looks a bit off (I doubt that part is near horizontal, unless she has quite a round bow)
2. this is what we want to see from every first post of an new member, great work, and may we see more of the same standard, be it real design or own design.
