Caseless ammunition still needs an extractor groove because you have to be able to cycle and clear a dud round that fails to fire. ;)

Not all caseless ammunition does, it usually depends on the design of the weapon. IIRC the G11 simply had a trapdoor you could manually cycle a dud round through, though it wasn't exactly the simplest mechanism in general.

I suspect that would be... uncomfortable... to shoot

LOL, maybe.

By the way, Merry Christmas. Or Happy Holidays if you don't do Christmas.

Oh wow, that's a huge round for such a small weapon. HAHAHA, whomever uses that will definitely have a bruised shoulder. A longer barrel would mitigate the recoil a bit.

A pistol from my Macross Alexandria fanfic universe:
Saint Barbara Arsenal P2066:
[ img ]
The Saint Barbara Arsenal P2066 is a pistol that fires the same 6.5 x 31 mm caseless round as the MP2065 PDW. The P2066 has fully ambidextrous controls and feeds from a 18 round magazine. The P2066 can be fitted with a quick-detach sound suppressor that attaches to a mount screwed onto the muzzle threads. The P2066 is the service pistol of the Alexandrian Union Armed Forces and is used by many police departments and civilian shooters in the Alexandrian Union.

Yeah, that's just the Carbine version. Maybe Russian muzzle brakes could make it easier as well?

Actually, I forgot to add a screw for the rear iron sight because it should be flipped down for scopes.

By the way, the Carbine is fixed with a slightly longer barrel, Russian muzzle, and a flipp-down rear sight.
