I don't know why the HK416A5 is basically in a golden-like color, but I really like it.

If I remember correctly that color is a new polymer for HK's guns to avoid the issues related to the heating of the material (loss of zero, inaccuracy, etc...) the G36 allegedly suffered when exposed to the sun for too long.

It's just hardcoat anodizing. It could probably be toned down a little - colors aren't consistent from part to part and can appear different depending on lighting. |
