An AU taking place in 2912 with obvious BSG base. Story later.

Battlestar Hephaestus (Lvl 6)

A "Battlestar" is a New Colonial frontline warship. Battlestars are large Battleships/Air/Spacecraft carriers and serve as the heart of the New Colonial Fleet.

Battlestars are giant space going leviathans ranging from almost 700m to nearly 2.3km in lentgh. A Battlestar is divided into 5 sections, first the "alligator head" at the front of the ship, this houses the CIC along with large amounts of sensor equipment and the much of the Battlestar's offensive capability. Second is the body of the ship this houses the primary storage, causeways linking parts of the ship and on most classes large KEW cannons. Third is the engine section, this houses the primary sublight and the FTL drives of the ship. Last is the two flight pods, these house the hangers, launch tubes and in many classes more KEW weapons.

The Hephaestus is a medium/large sized Battlestar with a length of 1500 meters. Designed to fullfill the role of a main capitol warship in the New Colonial fleet, it is mighty and powerful. Armed with:

- Battery of 8 large forward facing Railguns
- 14 massive KEW turrets on back, belly, and 2 in front
- 28 autocannon turrets mounted along the sides of head and flight pods
- Conventional and Nuclear missile silos

- 100 Fighters (Vipers and various derivatives)
- 30 Shuttles (Raptors and various derivatives)

Indeed. They are from the same universe.

Pegasus on top, mine on the bottom.

They share the same engine pods, CIC head bottom, have similar side pods and are roughly the same length. However, mine has more weaponry while Pegasus looks like it's more heavily armoured. Either way, they are definitely very related in design.

Hera Class Multipurpose Tylium Harvester (Tylium = Fuel used by New Colonial Ships)

Designed in the early New Colonial era, in 2521, shortly after the galaxy-scaled war began. Created to quickly mine, refine, and transport tylium fuel from asteroids all in one ship, to replace the older methods of having a trio of ships do the job. Nearly three times as massive as the old trio combined, it contains five distinct sections of the ship: the crew quarters and bridge (front of ship), tylium storage pods (makes up majority of ship), tylium refinery pods and refinery sections (top of ship), mining pads (underside of ship), and lastly the engine sections (rear of ship). To mine, it lands pads first onto a planetoid or asteroid, drilling into it from all six pads, sending mined tylium into the refinery section and lastly the storage pods. The storage pods are quickly interchangeable, and the ship is quite fast, being able to match the top speeds of the heaviest and fastest battlestar ships.

Massive at a length of 860 meters. Equipped with:

-8x Sublight Engines
-FTL Capability
-24x Tylium Pods
-6x Refinery Pods
-6x Mining Pads

Icarus Class War Frigate (Lvl 2)

Icarus Class Missile Cruiser (Lvl 2)

A ship with the designation "War Frigate" in the New Colonial fleet is a medium sized space-going warship. They are a common sight in the New Colonies.

Designed with base off of Colonial Battlestars, it consists of 4 sections. The first is the massive body, housing the crew, storages, fuel, most sensors, the VLS cells in the front, and the massive DRADIS dome (space radar system). Second are the rear engine sections, consisting of 2 massive ion engines powered by tylium, a high quality fuel mined from asteroids, and the FTL sections. Third are the side mounted hangars, each housing up to 15 spacecraft each. They are equipped with the thickest armour found on the ship and launch catapult (railguns that fire out deployed Viper spacefighters). Last but definitely not least, the upper platform. It is a massive flat platform covering the back half of the ship, with the bridge tower and 2 massive KEW turrets for main ship-to-ship combat. It also contains the CIC center and the shield generators.

The Icarus is 502 meters long. Basically, a dumbed down version of the Daedalus cruiser, it is armed with:

-2x Large KEW Turrets
-18x Medium KEW Turrets
-46x Flak Turrets
-36x VLS Cells (Nuclear Tipped Missiles)

-18x Fighters
-10x Shuttles

A ship with the designation "Missile Cruiser" in the New Colonial fleet is a sub-capitol sized space-going warship. They form the backbone of the standard heavy New Colonial fleet.

Designed with base off of Colonial Battlestars, it consists of 4 sections. The first is the massive body, housing the crew, storages, fuel, most sensors, the VLS cells in the front, and the massive DRADIS dome (space radar system). Second are the rear engine sections, consisting of 4 massive ion engines powered by tylium, a high quality fuel mined from asteroids, and the FTL sections. Third are the side mounted hangars, each housing up to 30 spacecraft each. They are equipped with the thickest armour found on the ship and launch catapult (railguns that fire out deployed Viper spacefighters, found on the level below the hangars). Last but definitely not least, the upper platform. It is a massive flat platform covering the back half of the ship, with the bridge tower and 4 massive KEW turrets for main ship-to-ship combat. It also contains the CIC center and the shield generators.

The Daedalus is 678 (600 meters without sensor antennae) meters long. It is armed with:

-4x Large KEW Turrets
-24x Medium KEW Turrets
-50x Flak Turrets
-48x VLS Cells (Nuclear Tipped Missiles)

-38x Fighters
-20x Shuttles

They are divided into 5 sections, first the "alligator head" at the front of the ship, this houses the CIC along with large amounts of sensor equipment and the much of the ship's offensive capability. The Hephaestus is a massive Warstar with a length of roughly two kilometers. Designed to fulfill the role of capitol superheavy warship in the New Colonial fleet, it is massive, heavily armoured, and has a huge number of weapons.

I see that Icarus is just mod of Daedalus class. Let's start with some critics. ;)

Too many everything, you know that KEW's use real ammo in that level of barrels saturation you will be out of ammo in minutes if not seconds. And how you will send ammo to that heavy KEW at the end of ship ? BSG KEW's use propellant ammo, massive recoil makes it impossible for the cannon to have a fast rate of fire and with that recoil first salvo will tear away that heavy KEW from ship. You know, there is a reason why only colonial heavy capitals use heavy KEW's.

Also think about number of shuttles, they are a pretty big crafts. And why you need 100 on board Hephaestus ?

They take up no more space in a hangar than a Viper (fighter).

By shuttle, I mean the Raptor shuttle. Or something along the lines of it.

Ah, the Raptors. Well in that case they indeed don't take that much space.

Also in that case you will need some shuttles, on ship of Hephaestus size I think 6-10 would be good.

Well, I didn't list the shuttles because they are an RP element ingame (I run a space conquest forum game)
