I make this forum for all 3d ship design, so if other members want to post here too, you don't have to say sorry for hijacking my thread or something ;)
I open with the uss zumwalt, which I have finally finished :D when nickD finishes his goalkeeper, more will come..... (I've given up modelling the goalkeeper myself)

I work with rhino 3d..... but I want to learn autodesk maya ;)

Just to show what's in the pipeline, a preview (90% done) of a new destroyer, this is the AAW version, a Multi Purpose and ASW version will be made too.

primer what program do you use to make does 3D ships? they look awsome how do you do it? can you please PM me more info about it? like how you make the connons and all dose other stuff and do you make every radar,connon and the other stuff by your self?

I use a modelling software called SketchUp and a render engine called Kerkythea. How I make them? With much practise, haha. Everything you see in the latest image I've made myself, only the SMART-L radar was downloaded.
