Oh, that you meant... thanks for clearing.
I think it would be difficult to bind such inflatable structure on the vessel to hold the potency of burn (from the earth orbit to moon). Yet, it would be great for orbiting stations. The weight of such thing might not be much less since those are in most cases designed for habitation etc. In my case it would be just a empty...case.

A little update for Mars mission.
Instead of earlier 6 :?: landers, there are now 2. Mission envelope could be "short stay"; 545 days total, 50 on Mars. I don't have launch window for this, but it could be somewhere between 2025-2030.
1.Stage cargo launch 2 years before. Also introducing the first Volvo in space :D

ps. I was just thinking: this and Spacebucket are drawn with SB scale and style. Still they are in "non-SB"-section? Spaceships are also... well, ships... So, should there be "proper" place for these in the new SB? Devided for "real life", "AU" and "never where"; perhaps?

Yes I would consider these (and all Spacebucket) drawings to be Shipbucket drawings because they use the same scale and style as regular ship drawings.

For real space designs, obviously they should go in the Real Designs forum. For stuff like this which is a mix of personal/AU designs, either of those forums would be fine. I can move the thread if you'd like.

No need to move this. I don't know what Dropbox changes does (next week?), so I may have to republish these anyway; in new SB.

The only issue I have with the space plane is that I do not know if it would have the lift to takeoff from the surface unaided. Unless I am horribly mistaken, and it is only going to land like a plane. I answered my own question. Do not pay any attention to this.

Very nice drawings. Keep it up. It's always a pleasure to see new things added by You to this thread. :)

Thanks lads! Not a chief, though. :)

What about firing stationary, unmanned, "power station" satellites? Here is a concept idea for it.

Essentially it just charges a lot of power cells using its solar panels, and a ship can dock to it and charge itself from the station? I know it does not have a docking port yet, I had no time really.

Sure, all concepts are worth inspecting/drawing. However, check the credits since all of the parts are not mine and this kind of concept is not in the project list of Scandinavian Union Space Agency ;)

Now, for few hours until Dropbox "dies" an upgrade of Space Station :)
