an extremely early WIP.
a full length main deck design, long range cruiser (cross Atlantic range+)

The drawing is more an draft of an idea. now I have to make the draft into a working design.

Note!: the finish designe will look nothing like this draft, as it stand now, it doesn't work.

as it stands now:
- full length main deck
- full size master cabin on main deck, with possible hidden balcony in the hull!
- pilot/bridge, is partially lowered
- Classic engine installation, single shaft, large propeller 12 knots, long range
- lounge use the entire width of the vessel.
- deck to ceiling windows
- Large ruder for better steering control at low speed.

Ideas for now, on what I want to change:
- going from a classic displacement hull to a more modern displacement hull
- a more convex hull shape for increased volume
- Pods, instead of shaft, but a backup (go to port) engine on a single shaft.
- Slightly lower freeboard, but larger internal volume due to a more modern hull shape
- adjustment on aft deck
- adjustment on lounge
- lift bridge to same deck level as rest of upper deck
- change design on bridge, to reduce volume/mass
- look into a different design language!
- try to get full height lower deck.

I said I was going to redesign it, totally!

I'm still not 100% happy, but I am now at the stage, where I can start to work on the basic layout of the interior, first then I can see the placement of the windows, or it I have to move something around!

- is now slightly over 22 meter
- A total height of 8.7 meter from keel to top of the mast.
- Main deck is 1.12 meter over waterline
- Three deck, with minimum 2 meter deck height at the lowest, and 2.1 meter at the highest.
- Main deck use the full ship length, except for the little section aft.
- twin engine installation (the drawing is a shaft version, I will come with an pod version to)
- Cruising speed around 10-14 knots
- aft deck can be extended, by lowering the side platforms (balcony).
- master cabin have balcony that can be lowered down

To do list:
- a fly bridge variant
- pod-drive variant

I have updated the drawing above

The major changes are:

- made main lounge windows larger
- added a large door on both port and starboard deck. (by opening them, you can let in a lot of air in, nice on warm days!)
- slightly enlarged/changed hull windows.
- Replaced portholes with a different type... of portholes
- redesigned the locks of the ventilation.
- made sky-lounge windows larger
- "the 3-deck" larger!
- added a sort of Bimini top over the sky-deck.
- added pod propulsion, thus the powerplant are moved more aft, giving more space forward for other things.
- adjusted deck "thickness" to give more space for staged celling and ventilation/electrics/lights/etc.
- adjusted hull height
- added some details.
- adjusted/changed underwater hull for more a 8-15-23 knots hull (long range-cruis-top speed)

To-do list:
- open sun-bridge variant
- forward deck design adjustment
- Starting on the layout design
- adding an anchor!! (shall I go for an hidden or a visual one? and what type?)
- locking at a different variant, of under water hull version (one version is a semi-planning bulb hull) (another version is a 30 degree angled, almost axe-bow variant or x-bow variant)

Done some more changes, mainly on the bow, and some shuffling of windows.

on this designe I'm not going to do an interior design, since this is an design that have now specific layoute, the layoute is customer based, and thus each ships are uniqe (it make it a more expensive ship, but these customers would pay that "little" extra for something uniqe!").

It's an large open interior/layoute and customer can use normal furniture or chose having the shipyard to make furniture specifically for his ship. (depending if the ship is to be used as an yacht or as and halfbread-explorer yacht)

Guest and owner sleeping capacity, all depending on how a customer want the interior to look like: can be from 8 to 14 beds (additional bedding for 3-4 crew)
depending on layoute you can have on main deck:
- a full size master cabin, in the bow section.
- 1 or 2 guest cabin on main deck or 1 cabin and a office.
- dining area in the bow, with or without a open country kitchen (alternatively a staffed, closed of galley)
- lounge in the bow.
- as a cruise variant, you can have 3-4 guest cabins on main deck, and 2-3 guest cabin on lower deck, with enlarged staff and storage area

- on aft main deck, there will always be a salon/lounge (with a dining area, if no dining area in the bow) + a main deck small-bar
- bathing platform, depending on layoute, can have a beach club

top deck:
- sky-lounge with a bar/barbeque/cafe/smoking area
- closed or open bridge (alternatively a bridge that can be closes of when needed)
- tender are forward or aft.
- Jacuzzi
- Alternatively Sky-lounge can be replaced with a master cabin instead.

Enginering:

Volvo Penta pods, modified to be powered by electric motor, thus the placement of the engine room it's self and crew quarter can be moved around, depending on layoute

There is no chain locker, but insted there is an capstan, with an chain holder on deck. it's quieter and easier to maintain.

Main numbers:

Length: 22.9 meters
Beam: +-6 meters
depth (standard): 1,62 meter
Displacement: +-80 tons
Speed: depending on engine 20-26 knots, with a cruise speed of 13 knots and ultra long range cruise at 8 knots
Berthing (including cruise variant): from 8 to 16 guest + 2-8 crew
