Series of the same AU by a friend of mine:

Newspaper:

The sverdlov incident, its October 7th 1993. Russian Federation Government House got under barrage by an Order of Boris Yeltsin.
This marked members of the "Congress of People's Deputies of the Russian SFSR" Party to go underground and leave the country. One of the Operations to rescue members from the Russian grounds was to use the light cruiser sverdlov
in St. Petersburg, to bring the communist party members and other communist personals to an unknown Finnish island. This mission was given to Lachkov Yako in October 8th. The ship started its route and left Russia on that day.
During the escort one of the engines failed to function and the ship stopped driving towards the destination and eventually because of the current was driven back to the Russian coast. Once near the beach, spetznaz units entered the ship and
arrested the crew and the party members, but there was no sign of Lachkov . A search mission was started as he was a high ranking officer and personally wanted by Yeltsin. Eventually he was never found and the ship was staying for weeks on the beach.
On November 25th, a image of Lachkov appeared to the public. It was taken one week after the incident on the sverdlov cruiser. Except for this photo, no one officially knew what happend to Lachkov .

Iraj Royan is my father who was an influential person during the Tajik civil war in the Kulobis gorup,
on June 28th 1992 the Government building in Tavildara was under control of IRP. Iraj used a Soviet artillery gun and hit and killed a High ranking IRP commander.
This caused the assault to slow down in the region. The image shown here is the aftermath, its him sitting on the
chair smoking a cigarette. My father is currently here in Uzbekistan in his 50s.

Entry 21:

Its the 19th November '91

Its a cloudy day and the nights starts to break in. When i joined the Army, i didnt planned to activly fight.
I just only wanted to be some type of garisson, but my commanders had other ideas. I couldnt say no because
i was scared to be called a coward. I knew how to drive a tank because of conscription. So they assigned to a tank.
We were sent to Vukovar and it was the scariest moment i had in my life. We drove in the middle of the city and
were stuck in rubble. We couldnt move. Dragoslav died on the first day when he peeked out of the cupola. I was shocked,
but Mile told me to be quiet. We didnt dared to get out as we would risk to be shot. 2 Days we sit in this scrap metal
until Mile decided to remove the rubble. I wanted to help him, but he demanded me to stay in the tank. When he finally
removed the rubble.... he got shot. I was shivering. I couldnt handle this situation. I panicked... pressed on the gas hard and
just drove straight away. I could see other soldiers me watching when i drove away from the city. I dont know what to do.
Im in the middle of nowhere, still shivering and depressed about that, two of my friends are dead. I am scared.
