Canadian Vipers In the late 1970s the Canadian Government was planning on replacing the existing fleet of Starfighters and Voodoos, among the contenders was the General Dynamics F-16. The F-16 was originally seen as a strong contender thanks to the option of final assembly in Canada, components built by suppliers from within the country, and a relatively inexpensive price tag compared to its contemporaries. |
