Excellent update, I agree this looks 100% realistic.

Actually I'd be tempted to ditch the spats, few interwar British types in RAF service actually had them (probably access to wheels and avoiding of mud clogging was of more importance!), though I could see them being kept for export machines.

Be interesting to see how they'd stack up to other late era biplanes, the Fiat Cr. 42, and I-153. I suspect somewhere between the Fiat CR. 32 and the later 42. It was with the Chaika in mind I suggested the retractable gear version, though the aerodynamic advantages must be balanced against the extra weight.

Of course, there is also the possibility of a floatplane version. :D

Rhade, feel free to use it!

Hood, I completely agree, I dislike the spats, which is why I kept them off the original design, but... off they go again, :P.

Shade, I designed the Mk.I to be a fierce competitor to the Fiat CR.32 and the Mk.II to be the same to the CR.42.

There's been some great work posted whilst I've been away, well done everyone.

Here's my Christmas contribution:

American Eagle Airlines (new livery) - Fairchild Dornier 528 Jet and 728 Jet for domestic US flights:

I know this isn't the most popular livery change Stateside, but I happen to think it's a long overdue modernisation.

Lufthansa Regional - Fairchild Dornier 928 Jet:

and in retrojet livery:

Flybe's new livery on a Fairchild Dornier 728 Jet:

I wasn't too keen on the purple to start with after seeing it on ATR's and Dash-8's but it seems to suit a jet aircraft better.

TUI Group (Jetairfly, Thomson, Arkefly, TUIfly) - Fairchild Dornier 928 Jet:

In my opinion, this is how any new easyJet livery should look and not as I've seen trialled in the past couple of weeks. It's based on their branding style used in recent adverts. I've put it on a Fairchild Dornier 728 Jet as I think the A320 family drawings need reworking a bit and I haven't got time at the moment.

Finally, an AU livery for Euskal airlines of an independent Basque Country:

I wish airlines in Europe would use a little less white paint like this, it makes all the difference!

Merry Christmas everyone :)
I'll enjoy catching up with browsing through the forums and looking at all the excellent new additions.
