Hello! I guess I should introduce myself before I start, I'm mclj10, a keen user of Nationstates under the nation name "The Soviet Socialist Republic of Bratislavskaya" (yes I am an ebul pinko commie ;) ). I have done a few vehicles, aircraft, uniforms and the like to show aspects of the nation. After some recommendations I found FD-Scale, which was better suited to aircraft than JG-Scale (which I probably will continue to use for ground vehicles). On this thread I plan on posting a number of FD-Scale Aircraft for the nation, ranging from the Newest military Aircraft in use, to the first aircraft used by the national airline.
On Aircraft designations
Now for a quick bit of explaining on the designations of the aircraft: There is a system (although, it's a fairly lazy one). There are first three main aircraft manufacturers in the nation:

Thalmanngrad Aircraft Plant (Tel'managradskoy Aviatsionnyi Zavod)or AviaTAZ: Main producer of civilian Aircraft, eg: Jet Liners, Regional Jets, Transports (also used by the military) etc.
Krasnoborsk Aircraft Plant (Krasnoborskiy Aviatsionnyi Zavod)or AviaKAZ: Main Producer of Military Aircraft , eg: Fighters, Fighter bombers, Nuclear Bombers, etc.
Shenkursk Aircraft Plant (Shenkursk Aviatsionnyi Zavod) or AviaSAZ: Main producer of Helicopters

The names of the manufacturers will be put on the sheets, but in the shortened form (AviaTAZ, AviaKAZ, AviaSAZ). The actual aircraft designations differ. For 2015 a new system will be bought in because the old one was over complicated. Aircraft no longer in service will retain old designations, and civilian aircraft may also receive new designations to make them more appealing for export. The new 2015 system for military aircraft can be seen below:

Letter Prefixes, and their meanings:
I-1X (Istrebitel): Fighter
IB-2X (Istrebitel Bombardirovshchik): Fighter Bomber
B-3X (Bombardirovshchik): Bomber
V-4X (Vertolet): Helicopter
U-5X (Utilita): Utility
OS-6X (Obucheniye Samoleta): Training Aircraft
TS-7X (Transportnyy Samolet): Transport Aircraft

So, I will begin a bit further on. I hope you enjoy.

P.S: I deviate from the style slightly, I use "Drescher Grotesk BT Small Sizes" font, and not the regular one. It's a standard font I use for most stuff relating to the nation, I hope no one minds .

First up, the national Airline: BRAVOZTRA
[ img ]
RP:
BRAVOZTRA: Bratislavskaya Vozdushnoy Transport or in English "Bratislavskaya Air Transport. Set up in 1930, as an airline to serve Bratislavskaya and other areas of the USSR, BRAVOZTRA grew and began to flourish post war, becoming one of several large airlines in the region.
Not-RP:
Basically my nations version of Aeroflot, using the name idea behind TAROM (and using TAROM's modern logo as it's own modern logo's base).

There are three aircraft I currently have, and more planned.
TS-96 (Bratislavskayan Produced Il-96-300):

TS-100 (Bratislavskayan produced Sukhoi Super Jet-100):

TS-14 (A Bratislavskayan designed evolution of the An-12...Shaanxi Y-9, what Shaanxi Y-9) (In BRAVOZTRA Cargo livery):

For BRAVOZTRA I have an An-3 and an MA-60 planned among other things.

Nice.
Btw. "...Samolet Zavod" - rather "...Aviatsionnyi Zavod" (Aviation Factory). Not least because "Samolet" is a basic form of the word "airplane" (like "this airplane") - Slavic languages make use of high degree of inflection, so for example "car" (automobile) is "avtomobil" but "car factory" is "avtomobilnyi zavod".
Similarly: "Bratislavskaya Vozdushnogo Transporta" - I think rather "Bratislavskoy Vozdushnoy Transport". Form "Vozdushnogo Transporta" would be proper had it been describing something else, like "Main Administration of Bratislav.... Air Transport" ("Glavnoye Upravlyenye Bratislavskovo Vozdushnogo Transporta).

I was trying to make the distinction between car factories and aircraft factories with the "Samolet". If I used Aviatsionnyi it would be "?AZ" which would be the same as car factories which are also "?AZ". Is there a word I could sue that doesn't start with A? Or could I do something similar to "Avto ?AZ" and have a word for aircraft in place of "Avto"?

Ok, I can change that fairly easily. I'll need to bugger around with the logo though.

Thanks for the input!

Re: factory names. You can use shorter forms AvtoZavod and AviaZavod.
Like "TelAviaZavod", "KrasAviaZavod", "ShenkAviaZavod". It fits relatively fine with Russian way of creating shorthands, for example:
- Gosplan - Gosudarstvenniy Komitet po Planirovaniyu,
- agitprop - agitatsia i propaganda,
- politruk - politicheski rukovoditel,
- komdiv - komandir divizii,
- Sevzheldorlag - Severnyi zheleznodorozhnyi ispravitelno-trudovoi lagyer.

I've now corrected the Russian based on eswube's advice. I'm pretty sure it's correct now, although any further input is appreciated.

I updated the designation system, now based on the Yugolsav one. It will RP come into effect this year, and cause everything to get re-designated.
