Decided to redraw this one from scratch because of the requirements of My AU for a British-origin Gun Tractor. Nothing against Darth Panda's original work, but his represents the recovery vehicle variant. Scammell Pioneer 'R100' Gun Tractor Cheers |

Nice tractor, Oberon! Intended for the 25 pounder gun, or you have another gun in mind? A Thyssen Henschel classical wheeled APC / internal security vehicle: UR-416. The first one is a german polizei of the Bepo or Readiness Police of Bremen in the late 1970s. Next to it is a spanish vehicle of the Unidad de Intervencion Policial, as seen close to the American Embassy after 9-11. In the second row, two peruvian army APCs; the first one is depicted during the unrest of 1975, and the second one as seen during a military parade some years ago. The Salvadorean vehicle is depicted with a striking 4 tone camouflage during the Civil War in the 1980s. The last vehicle is from Pakistan National Guard, armed with a Rh 202 20 mm gun (in a KuKa 1 man turret, or maybe in a local turret similar in shape to the german one) and a very odd appareance (in a vehicle that was already called "pig" by several armies), as seen in Beluchistan 12 years ago. |

reytuerto, R100s primarily towed the 8" and later 7.2" howitzers of the Royal Artillery. Later in WW2 they were also used to tow the lend-lease 'Long Tom' 155mm howitzers. pegasus206, 7.2" is in the works ready for the R100, along with other, as yet undrawn British Artillery pieces and Scammell Pioneer variants. |
