Wow. That's a lot of 757s. Just one disclaimer: unfortunately the navigation lights on the wings are in the same green scheme of most of the fuselage (noticed right at the end when I was recolouring them in the standard grey blanks, so please don't let me change the green scheme on all the false colours once again ), so pay attention when recolouring the aircrafts in you paintscheme of choice, they might turn that way as well.
I changed the lights to more subdued greens from another drawing. No need to change the fuselage scheme. |

Thanks.Makes me wonder how on earth I didn't think about such a simple solution |

Airbus has just presented this at the Paris Air show with a full-size mock-up (one of the A380 prototypes fitted to look like the intended product). The A380plus. The most recongizable modification is the replacement of the wingtip fences with a split-scimitar type winglet (similar to some Aviaton Partners retrofits to B737NGs) which will improve fuel-burn performance by 4%. A 13% reduction in operating costs is also planned to be achieved by rearranging internal configurations to allow as much as 80 more seats to be fitted on board. This through the removal of the front main staircase to the upper deck with a more compact one and increasing seating on the lower deck from 10 to 11 abreast ( ). All this is not planned to be a retrofit option for existing A380s but only a new-build fit (as far as I understood it). For now only Emirates has commented on it and do not seem particulary amused. In any case, this belongs here unless Airbus states otherwise. |

Given the somewhat dubious business case that the 380 has been in practice, I'm mildly surprised Airbus is putting that much effort into further development. Perhaps it is not, in fact, that much effort. |

This "plus" seems a step back from the re-engined A380neo that was being proposed some time ago, in turn another step back from the stretched A380-900 that was under considerations a few years ago. Might be that Airbus, like Boeing, is slowly realizing that the age of the four-engined airlines is cominng to an end but is still unwilling to let them go..Next, following another airliners from the Paris Airshow, comes an update of the 737-MAX sheet, now featuring the MAX-10 as well: The MAX-10 features: a further 66-inch (1.7m) stretch of the fuselage, 40-inch (1.03m) forward and 26 (0.67m) aft of the wing. Mid-exit door widened by 4 inches (10cm)and new levered main landing gear. All to seat up to 230 passengers (in asingle-class configuration). First flight is expected for 2019. |
