F-35 Lightning II:

Updated version of Ashebourton's F-35 to better reflect current US schemes worn by the three variants, as well as making it easier to recolor.

Yes I posted this before and I promise this is the last time I tinker with it :D

Spain. Hispano Aviación HA-200 Saeta

[ img ]

The Hispano Aviación HA-200 Saeta was a training reactor designed with the collaboration of Willi Messerschmitt. It was very simple, almost the same as the Triana piston engine trainer, but with two Turbomeca Marbore reactors on the nose (similar to the Yak-15). It was used by Spain and Egypt, which acquired ten HA-200B and built 63 Al Kahira. The D version could carry a weapon, and the Super Saeta HA-220E could carry more powerful fuselage changes and reactors. 25 HA-200E were converted to single-seaters and called HA-220. The HA-200D, HA-200E and HA-220 were heavily employed in combat in the Sahara, and although they were launched with SA-7 missiles, none were shot down. Several HA-200Bs and Al Kahira were destroyed in the Six Day War.

It was retired in 1981, but as it is a very simple reactor, a large number of them have been preserved or acquired by privates and are still flying today.

Spain. Hispano Aviación HA-132L

[ img ]

At the end of the Spanish Civil War Hispano Aviación de Sevilla rebuilt 50 Fiat CR.32 fighters from Italy and built 100 HA-132L. These were identical to Italian aircraft and only varied by number (' 293 to 392). Most of the preserved CR.32 are actually HA-132L.
Hispano converted 31 HA-132L in two-seater trainer, which were employed at the Escuela de Caza until 1954.
The CR.32 preserved in the Museo de Cuatro Vientos is really a HA-132L with components of the CR.32 of García Morato, spanish highest ace, killed in crash in 1939.

Germany - Spain. MBB / CASA 223 "Flamingo"

[ img ]

The MBB 223 Flamingo was the last aircraft manufactured by Hispano Aviación before being absorbed by CASA. It was derived from the SIAT 222, one of the first aircraft designed in Germany after the WWII. SIAT was taken over by MBB, which built 50 units. Due to economic problems, production was transferred to Hispano Aviación de Sevilla. However, Hispano was absorbed by CASA and only 50 other units were finished. The MBB 223 was tested by the Air Force who rejected it, keeping a few units. The Turkish Air Force also used a few. The main user was the Syrian Air Force, which received several dozens, part of German construction and part of Spanish construction.
