Another RAF type, the Avro 701 Athena. Designed to Spec T.7/45 for a three-seat advanced turboprop-powered advanced trainer. The Athena, likes its Boulton Paul Balliol competitor, was converted to RR Merlin power when the turboprops failed to be reliable enough to use. Another lesser-known British aircraft.
