The Golden Age of Flying Boats

objective : make an airplane that is designed for landing and taking off from water. could be military or civilian, big or small, fast or slow, real or fictional, whatever!
Time frame is 1920 to 1935.

the interwar years were a very vibrant yet underrepresented era in aviation history, and especially in FD-Scale so this might change that. cheers :D

also i suggest we do a group session viewing of porco rosso on the discord and announce the winner after the movie ends :3
keep speaking, i support the last idea aswell

Even though i may not participate. I will support this challenge. I'd like to see all the crazy and awesome designs that either haven't been created for the Archive or are just there for an AU.

FD Dedicated Firefighter plane, draw an aircraft designed to combat big fires and to load a considerable ammount of water/fire extinguishing material, eg. Canadair CL-415
I would suggest something like a substitute for the aging Trackers. They are wonderful for more tactical drops and I can't see any substitute to them.

CAV/BBV challenge.

- Your design must carry a minimum of 4 (6?) cruiser grade (6" or greater) or battleship grade (>12" or greater) guns.
- She must carry an armoured belt (maybe?).
- She must have a hangar capacity for at least a dozen (12) aircraft. The type of these aircraft is left to the designer's discretion, they may be floatplanes or wheeled aircraft.

Hi-Lo Challenge

This challenge can apply to either SB or FD, (but it has got to be 2 month challenge):

SB version: Challenge requires the participant to design a pair of ships that complement one another and are designed at the same time and incorporate many of the same equipment, however one covers the "Hi" or more expensive design (such as a frigate), and the other is the "Lo" or (or a corvette). However, the twist comes in the fact that the Hi-Lo can be any two pairs of ships, either a corvette and OPV, battleship and cruiser, etc.

FD version: Challenge requires the participant to design a pair of aircraft that complement one another and are designed at the same time, however one aircraft (The "Hi") must be more expensive and less commonly operated in service, while the "Lo" must be more numerous in number but cheaper. An example of this would be South Korea's Hi-Lo of KF-21 and FA-50, the USA's F-22 and F-35, or China's J-20 and J-10.

I can't be arsed to go back page by page looking right now but i'd like to express my support for the:

Civilian Emergency Vehicle Challenge

and my preferred scale would be Soldierbucket of course, but i'd do FD if helicopters or boats were allowed.

I like the idea but the CAVs that come to mind (Mogami, Gotland) didn't have hangars, so maybe requiring CAVs to be able to carry 12 aircraft, having the capacity for 8+ (working off Gotland's smaller max capacity) with the hangar being optional might be better.
