Smartphones are going from the iPhone and other touch-pad one down to the Samsung HC-550 (I had one of these and could surf the web after a fashion in that)

Right. Trouble is, I haven't changed my mobile phone (cell phone to the cousins) in the last six years. When L.P. texts me I just about manage an 'x', but it gets problematic when my boss sends me a text :?

On the same theme; (again for the cousins), in the U.K. we have to pay for a T.V. license, which helps to pay for the BBC. But I don't watch T.V. - I have a life instead. But I get these guys in trench coats and wireless directing vans trawling past my house, plus threatening letters from the T.V. licensing gestapo offering me massive fines for not having a fecking license.

Then again, I get to see Dr.Who (but I'm not telling how) 8-)

Hah, and they always claims that our TV licence fee system is a DDR era relic that puts Finland as western country into a question...

I hadn't realised that other countries has a T.V. license. As I don't pay, I ought to feel guilty in not contributing toward the BBC, probably the best broadcasting organisation in the world; if not, the BBC is a very poor broadcasting organisation - but the alternatives are much worse!

Same in Denmark. On the upside, there's no commercials.

Holy shit, I'd pay for a license for no commercials.

I've always thought it was really silly that we pay good money for satellite or cable TV and we still have to be constantly brutalized by advertising.

I'd pay good money to shoot the Progressive girl "Flo" in the head.
