The Tennessee's are on my work list, and if I give them up, I'll do it to someone who I know is accomplished. I believe Emile Bertin might already have been drawn; whatever, if you chose this ship, know that the standards have been raised considerably. Also, wrong thread to post your work list at!

Can we try to be a little more unwelcoming to a new member???

welcome aboard Imperialist! I have seen your work on DeviantArt, there isn't much real design there yet but from this worklist it seems you want to change that. I was going to ask why you had not listed your design 1047 here, but after an check found one already in the archive, which might be the reason. anyways, I am looking forward to your works.

Welcome aboard Imperialist. While some of your subjects might have been claimed already it's good to see someone who's willing to jump straigt to the Real Designs. In order to avoid these issues in the future I suggest you check out the Worklist Registry It should cover all the publicised claims at least.

Colo, FYI: I was, I merely pointed out the obvious thing; namely that Mr Imperialist is a new, unknown quantity, and I do reserve the right, if I've claimed a certain class or ship to then dispose of it my way. And to post a work list here? It is the wrong thread! But I guess you got to be snippy at me, which I know you seem to enjoy, though I know not why...*siiiigh*

The fact that he even knows to post a worklist suggests both having lurked here and at least some knowledge of what he's talking about.

You claiming a ship means the polite thing is to ask you before starting on it. It does not mean you retain sole ownership. If someone is faster than you in making it, tough luck. You could claim the entire polish navy to be yours, but never finish it. A Work List is a way of POLITELY announcing that you have an interest in a work, and it's POLITE to respect other people's work lists. If you don't intend to do that work, or haven't done so after a long while, it does not mean that you get to choose who does gets to do the work.
Since you've only announced on the 6th that you in fact still plan to do the Tennesee, by all polite rights it's yours. But don't pull this "Imma retain ownership!"crap. You own squat. Imperialist could still draw the ship, and you'd have to suck it up, or strike back with a Tennesee of your own. It wouldn't be polite of him, but then again, neither was your reply to him in this thread.

We should be working to make new members feel welcomed, not make them feel like a doormat.

hi, i have some sources for the Kitakami and Ooi as kaiten carriers and torpedo cruisers, i can send them to you if you want.
i also suggest you to use (with proper crediting of course) the already existing drawing of the kuma class cruisers done by whyme as basis, as both kitakami and ooi where of the same class.
