Colo's own suggestion is actually quite good IMO also.

I also like colo's quite a bit, but something 'shippish' or 'pixelish' into it wouldn't hurt, as just the letters sb may have quite a few meanings.

Some nice variations; but yes, we don't want a single ship phot as representative. On balance I would think the Rowdy is on the right track, a logo that contains the Forum name and a stylish ship.

Just to remind people, any logo will have to be rendered in sizes from 16*16 to 500*500, as well as various banner sizes. While I like Rowdy's idea, I'm not sold on it's ability to seamlessly degrade as the size gets smaller. It also seems rather derivative.

My only two cents, are just to take no real ship (it should present a single ship/Navy) as logo (if wanted) and Use a proper font.

The "SB" logo with an anchor or something similar would be nice. I'll see what I can come up with after work.

My thoughts exactly.

We're not "SB", we're Shipbucket and we shouldn't be afraid to put our name on the logo. The "SB" abbreviation is totally unjustified IMO.

Some pixel graphics elements would be nice as that is what Shipbucket is essentially.
If we are putting a ship in the logo it should be a profile, again to reflect the whole Shipbucket idea.

And just to throw another idea in the pot here's my take on it. It is "pixelish" and easily scalable down to 32x32 (not 16x16 though) and up. Also the color scheme can be changed to fit anything including black&white.
