I've seen this as a very common practice on deviantART. The admins that run the site now don't care about copyright notice anymore, as the rightful owners have filed reports of plagiarism and in some cases filed a DMCA Takedown Notice, but it all gets ignored. I would never put my ship art on that site. |

Found a remarkably butchered but still recognizable uncredited version of one of Golly's old Pr.22350 drawings on an obscure Russian blog, with an overlay from alternathistory.org.ru, overlaid again with the blog's name, which just goes to show. I've posted numerous IJN drawings on my DeviantArt account, but the credits are all there. They haven't been changed a bit from the Shipbucket style. |
