Hi guys, this is my first post here even though I have been viewing anonymously on the forum for about a year now. And despite this is my first post here I wish to ask a few favours.
Some of you may have heard of, or even played World of Warships: yes, it’s that game that can’t even get its model details right, not even to mention historical accuracy.
Anyway let’s get back to topic. As a, well, you can say, fan of the game. I have VOLUNTARILY decided to put forward a proposal to those Vodka drinking developers (nothing racist here, I promise) about a split IJN tech tree. In addition to that, I wish to use some of the work on this forum as an addition to some of these paper designs (I will put references of course) However, I cannot access most of the designs here as the photo link were broken. Mainly I wish to use BB1987’s work, but as I mentioned before I cannot access the photos so I wish to ask your help in find these drawings. (and if possible, would anyone be interested to draw some of them if not done before?)
Also, I will post my proposed tech tree here and it would be very helpful if you guys can suggest some improvements to it.

Keys to the tech trees: Black ships are already in the game,
Blue ships are proposed ships in the tech tree.
Orange ships are proposed premium ships.(premium ships: you have to buy them, you can not get them for free)
Destroyers: Start from Tier 2: Umikaze to Tier 10 Shimakaze. My proposed splits are between gun oriented DD from torpedo Oriented DDs.
[ img ]
Cruisers: Start from tier 3: Tenryuu to Tier 10 Zao. My proposed splits are between Light Cruiser and Heavy cruiser.
[ img ]
Battleships: Start from tier 3: Kawachi to Tier 10 Yamato. Proposal is to bring a Battleship/Battlecruiser Split
[ img ]
Aircraft Carriers:Start from tier 4: Hosho. My plan is a purpose built carrier/converted carrier split.

Interesting comment about accuracy of the models; from what I've seen, most of the USN ships are modeled pretty well, though there's always small errors (kind of unavoidable in any kind of game whose 3D modelers have to make dozens of ships and all the different refits quickly...)

"Can't even get its model details right" is just probably a little more aggressive than I would choose to phrase it. ;)

They also need to make adjustments for game balance. As I found while drawing the Hashidate, they upgraded it's rear turret to bring it in line with the other ships of it's tier. Not to mention re-classifying it as a "cruiser." I understand they also removed torpedoes from some early cruisers and BBs.

Still, very nice details and painstaking research.

Well anyway, good luck with your proposal. In my opinion WOWS has enough room for basically every ship of the time period to be represented.

Now if they'd just add the Alaska class CB as a premium USN ship...

The USN models are mostly correct, but if you care to consider the IJN models: Kongo Got a Hiei Hull, Fuso Hull A is actually Yamashiro's, Nagato Hull A Funnel is not the stock one as it have been IRL. Fubuki was given the Hibiki sub class Hull. etc
Just too much mistakes
