Orionfield Thank You! I'm pleased to announce, that British-made aircraft have been uploadded to the archive, thus leaving only US-made planes to upload (and therefore make the project complete). Unfortunately it's still some 1000 files, so it will take a while. Also, in the meantime I tweaked a list of Roles/Subroles for aircraft, which now is as follows: 2.2) Air Vehicles Combat Aircraft - Bomber - Dive Bomber - Electronic Warfare - see Note A1 - Fighter - Ground Attack - see Note A2 - Interdictor/Strike -see Note A3 - Torpedo-bomber Military Training Aircraft - Combat Training Aircraft - see Note A4 - Military Training Aircraft - see Note A5 Reconnaissance Aircraft - Airborne Early Warning - ELINT/SIGINT - Observation/Forward Air Control - see Note A6 - Photographic/General Reconnaissance Maritime Aircraft - Maritime Aircraft - see Note A7 Transport Aircraft - Aerial Refueling Aircraft - see Note A8 - Cargo Transport Aircraft - see Note A9 - Communications/Liaison/Utility Aircraft - see Note A10 - Executive/Government Aircraft - Passenger Aircraft Special Mission Aircraft - Aerial Survey Aircraft - see Note A11 - Airborne Command Post - Crop Dusting Aircraft - Environmental Reconnaissance Aircraft - see Note A12 - Experimental / Research Aircraft - Firefighting Aircraft - Polar Aviation Aircraft - Special Operations Aircraft (other) Light and Sports Aircraft - Aerobatics Aircraft - see Note A13 - Light Aircraft (general aviation) - Pioneer Aircraft (pre-1914) - Racing and Pioneer Flight Aircraft - see Note A14 Helicopters - Combat Helicopter - see Note A15 - Crop Dusting Helicopter - Experimental / Research Helicopter - Heavy Lift Helicopter - Light Helicopter - Maritime Helicopter - Military Training Helicopter - Special Purpose Helicopter - Utility Helicopter Special Air Vehicles - Annular-wing VTOL aerodyne - Autogyro - Compound Gyroplane - Tiltortor - (as needed: convertiplanes, tiltrotors, gyrodynes, autogyros... - t.b.d.) Gliders - Glider - Motoglider Missiles - Missile Drones - Experimental / Research Drone - Operational Drone - Target Drone Space Vehicles - Booster - Satellite - Spacecraft (manned) Notes: - Note A1 - includes Wild Weasel aircraft, - Note A2 - includes Close Support, Counter Insurgency and Gunships, - Note A3 - post-WW2 deep tactical strike aircraft like Tornado IDS, F-111, Su-24 or JH-7 etc. (also Canberra B(I) 8 and similar models), - Note A4 - dual-control, combat-capable versions of combat aircraft and combat aircraft used in training units (in which case their 'basic' sub-role must be also included) and purpose-built fighter-trainers (esp. of interwar period) - Note A5 - includes 'flying classrooms' (for navigator, bombardier or gunner training), may include non-combat-capable versions of combat aircraft, - Note A6 - artillery spotting aircraft and similar (for example L-4 Cub, O-1 Bird Dog, OA-37, SBLim-2Art and the like) - Note A7 - military and coast guard patrol, anti-submarine and SAR aircraft, - Note A8 - includes combat aircraft drawn with refueling (buddy-buddy) pods, - Note A9 - includes light air ambulance aircraft (but not airliner-sized ones), - Note A10 - includes all kinds of military transport aircraft except those classed otherwise (as VIP, tanker etc.) and paratrooper transport conversions of WW2-era bombers, - Note A11 - includes aerial mapping, natural resources search etc. - Note A12 - specially-fitted aircraft (not including 'typical' military MRA aircraft), includes fisheries patrol and NBC reconnaissance, - Note A13 - primarily intended for light aircraft for aerobatic displays (like Pitts Special or Zlin 50), but also includes military aircraft of display teams (like Red Arrows, Blue Angels etc.); - Note A14 - "Pioneer Flight" here denotes post-1918 trans-oceanic flights, record-breaking flights (except for military-specific or purpose-built research aircraft like US X-series) - Note A15 - includes specialized scout helicopters (like OH-58D Kiowa Warrior) |

Dear Mates, with great (you don't even imagine how great) relief I want to announce that IT... IS... DONE. About time, I was really getting sick of it. Btw. there are some sheets with missiles, bombs, etc. made various artists (akin to SB-scale parts sheets) - for lack of better option they are under "United Nations". Any better suggestions welcome. Total of 6983 files (there were more initially, closer to 7,5k, but I consolidated many of them). Of these 4298 are of air vehicles (3722 real-life and 576 never-were), 2306 of land vehicles (2229 real-life and 77 never-were), 266 of organizational charts (all real-life) and 113 of ships (108 real-life and 5 never-were). You guys owe me one. |
