Something inspired by the Australian DDL project, the Taylor Class FFL:

correct, fitting parts, an sensible design and good looking as well.
my only comments are that I wonder a bit about the funnel (is it on the centerline, if not, it looks too big), the ikara magazine (I think it fits, quite nicely actually, but what is that space used for on the gunboat version) and the seacat/gun combo (when that gun was available, wasn't sea wolf there already? might be wrong about that though)
may I suggest the swap of the GWS-24 directors for dutch M 44 and M 45 directors? just for looks and for the fact that those were known to work a bit better even :P

a joy to see these ships, all in all.

Yup! 8-)

Thanks Ace, in reply to your queries:
The funnel(s) are either side of the hangar/superstructure like this. They might still be too large though...
Not sure about the leftover space, maybe extra accommodation? Troops maybe?
These ships would be commissioned around the same time as the Type 21s which had the Mk8 and Sea Cat, basically in the 7? or so years between the Mk8 entering service and Sea Wolf.
The main reason I went with GWS-24 directors was just to maintain commonality with the gun director, so I could be convinced to change... (could the M 44 and M 45 be used as gun directors?)

the M44 is an seacat director, the M45 an gun director ;) (or the other way around, should check that) so that fits the bill as well. they were used as such on the dutch leanders.
you could maybe mod the ikara magazine space a bit on the gunboat version (just an door here and there or something) to show it is different from that of the ikara version. just for showing what the ship does, it is not required per design. point taken on the gun, I wasn't certain on that anyways, so indeed you prove me wrong. good work :P

I would make the funnel 25% 'shorter' in the length direction of the ship. that should fit the bill nicely, I think. just try out what looks best, I suppose ;)

Those look like Vosper frigates, like what the Iranian Navy and Brazilian Navy has. I do kind of wonder why Australia and NZ didn't go for them, they do make a lot of sense and would've fulfilled the same mission role the ANZACs would do 20 years or so later.
